Too Late for Season 2, but Will Snooki's Arrest Be Shown During Season 3 of "Jersey Shore"?
TMZ and other celebrity gossip websites were quick to report Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi's arrest Friday in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, for disorderly conduct, just one day after the premiere of Season 2 of
the MTV reality show "Jersey Shore." According to the Associated Press, the "Jersey Shore" cast member had apparently been bothering some beachgoers. They showed their appreciation of their nearness to stardom by calling the police on her. It is believed that Snooki Polizzi had been drinking before the incident and her subsequent arrest.
It is unknown if the arrest will get her noticed by President Obama, like it did for Lindsay Lohan.
Seaside Heights Police Thomas Boyd said that Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi was arrested at 3:25 p.m. Friday and charged with disorderly conduct. She was then taken to police headquarters, processed, issued a summons, and released.
MTV had no comment on the arrest of the "Jersey Shore" star.
TMZ reported that earlier in the day, Snooki Polizzi had been partying with a beer bong on the beach, but had the bong had been filled with Coca Cola. However, witnesses saw her at a local bar later doing body shots.
It is not known whether the consumption of alcohol contributed to the incident that caused beachgoers to contact the police. However, it is probably being assumed by many...
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi rose to fame last year when MTV premiered a show of young Italian-Americans enjoying a summer at the beach. After its initial premiere, the cast members' abrasive behavior, their labeling of Italian-Americans as "guidos" and "guidettes," and the fact that they weren't from New Jersey caused considerable controversy and catapulted the show into the national spotlight. "Jersey Shore" became a hit and feisty little Snooki Polizzi became a star.
