Laurence Fishburne Livid Over Daughter Montana's Vivid XXX Sex Tape Debut

Montana Fishburne Says She Hasn't Talked to Her Father but Hears that He's Angry Over Sex Tape

Montana Fishburne, the daughter of famed stage and screen actor Laurence Fishburne, knows that her father is angry with her after making her movie debut via a sex tape (actually, a "thrill-sex" tape). She also believes that she can "work things out with him." At least that is what she told TMZ. But Montana Fishburne admits that she never told her father about working as "Chippy D" with Vivid Entertainment, or her Kim Kardashian-inspired career choice.

"[My dad] is very upset," Montana told TMZ. "I heard that he's mad at me but I haven't spoken to him yet. I feel pretty confident that I can work things out with him."

The 19-year-old and Vivid Entertainment announced last week that a full-length adult feature starring Montana Fishburne would be released in mid-August. She said in the joint press release that she was "impatient" for fame and fortune and had seen how Vivid's promotion of Kim Kardashian's sex tape -- and Kardashian's handling of her career afterward -- had seemed to have a lot to do with that reality show starlet's subsequent success. She said that working for Vivid "seemed like a great way to get started on it."

But she never told her father, the multiple major award-nominated and Tony Award-winning actor whose resume reads like a Hollywood wishlist. She also told TMZ that she had heard that her father was "very hurt" that she had made the adult film.

"I think he wants to support me in everything I do," she told the celebrity gossip website, "And though he sees this now as a negative, I believe in time he will view it as a positive."

Although her words smack of uncertainty, Montana says that until the Vivid press release (which can be found in its entirety on Vivid.com), she and her father had been close and had talked at least on a weekly basis. She hasn't spoken to him since the announcement.
