Tennessee election results: Bill Haslam defeats Zach Wamp


The Tennessee election results for 2010 are in and GOP candidate Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam has won almost 50% of votes in the Republican primary race for governor.

Haslam prevailed in the tight race that composed of five Republican candidates.

Haslam was followed by 3rd District U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp in second place with almost 30% and Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey in third with 22%.

Meanwhile, West Tennessee businessman Mike McWherter is uncontested in the Democratic side.
